The girls have a right royal time with Lady Glenconner

The girls were treated to a visit from Lady Glenconner, who as a young woman was a maid of honour at the Queen’s coronation. The girls, and teachers, were fascinated by her talk about her experiences of the Coronation. To have a first hand account of such an important event was truly special and a privilege. Lady Glenconner talked about her own involvement in the day, and shared some personal observations which she is almost uniquely qualified to pass on. The highlight for many girls was the opportunity to look closely at her exquisite gown and head dress, which remain beautiful even to this day.
