Our bursaries are discretionary, means-tested and awarded on a sliding scale based on financial need.
Awards are reviewed annually with the expectation that they will decrease over time in order that as many families as possible are able to benefit from the bursary funds available.
Bursaries are not normally awarded to international students or to students at St Mary's Preschool and Junior School. They may however be awarded in exceptional circumstances. Please contact bursaries@stmaryscambridge.co.uk if you would like St Mary’s to consider such an application.
Bursaries may be made to existing or prospective families. Existing families who are committed to St Mary’s School, Cambridge but whose financial circumstances have changed will be prioritised over new applicants. Our first call on resources will be to support students at mid points in their studies i.e. from Year 10 into Year 11, or in Lower Sixth into Upper Sixth.
Existing parents who have come across unforeseen financial difficulty are encouraged to contact the Bursar to discuss financial support, which may be available.
The closing date for bursary applications for September 2025 entry is 25 October 2024.
All families applying for a new bursary will be sent a link to our Bursary Portal, in early September. You will need to supply information and supporting documentation via the portal. Bursary Administration Limited administer all applications on the School’s behalf, and they will arrange a meeting with applicants, via Zoom, during the week commencing 11th November 2024.
Please contact the Bursar for more information concerning an application for a bursary by emailing bursaries@stmaryscambridge.co.uk.
