A community full of happiness, friendship and joy shapes school life at St Mary's.
With day students and boarders representing over 20 nationalities, a variety of social, religious and secular backgrounds, plus a broad ability range – every day life at St Mary's is enriched by diversity.
Happiness is important to us and our pastoral care is second-to-none. As a Mary Ward School, traditional Christian values such as integrity, justice, hard work and respect sit at the heart of school life, creating a community in which every girl feels valued, supported and inspired. This is supported by our approach to chaplaincy, which aims to ensure everyone in school feels accepted and has a sense of belonging, whatever their background or belief.
Here, both extroverts and introverts find their place. Our range of extra-curricular options include sport, drama, music and art, plus coding, creative writing, and Model United Nations, to name just a few.
Outside the classroom, a host of trips and adventures offer opportunities to extend and deepen friendships, to build confidence and skills, as well a providing unique learning experiences.
