Supporting St Mary's

Make a difference

At St Mary’s School, Cambridge, we don’t offer a one-size-fits-all education: we provide renowned pastoral care and individual support which encourages girls to look beyond themselves, so that they aspire to be more and to give more, not just to have more.

Of course, sustaining the School’s enriching environment is a huge financial commitment which fee income alone cannot cover. Charitable donations from like-minded people who understand our vision provide vital funds to allow us to offer, among other things, stimulating education to talented girls through our Sister Christopher Bursary Fund.

There are several ways in which you can make a gift to St Mary’s – from matched giving to payroll giving to gift shares for donors – but the easiest by far is by making a donation online.

Your support makes a real difference. Every gift counts.

Sister Christopher Bursary Fund

We focus on fostering a love of life and learning, while growing the academic talents and spiritual well-being of each individual girl.

As a former student, Head Girl and Headmistress of St Mary’s School, Sister Christopher embodies what it is to be a ‘Mary Ward girl’. It seems a fitting acknowledgement and tribute that we established The Sister Christopher Bursary Fund; Sister Christopher is a well-loved teacher and friend to many of our students. A gift to support The Sister Christopher Bursary Fund fulfils two of the Mary Wary characteristics of embracing diversity and encouraging hard work and excellence.

Donations to The Sister Christopher Bursary Fund enable us to continue to offer the benefits of a Mary Ward education to girls who would not otherwise be able to access this opportunity.
