A Level results 2024

Students from The Sixth at St Mary's School, Cambridge are celebrating after receiving an impressive set of A Level examination results, with 25% of grades awarded at A* and 52% at A*- A.

These superb results have secured almost 10% of St Mary’s Sixth Formers places in Oxbridge to read subjects including Medicine, Theology and Geography. St Mary’s students have once again proven their academic prowess with strong performances seen in a wide range of subjects including Languages, Creative Arts, and Geography.

• 74% of grades at A* - B 
• 89% of grades at A* - C 

GCSE results 2024

Students at St Mary’s Senior School in Cambridge are celebrating after receiving an impressive set of GCSE examination results, with 89% of grades awarded at 9-5 (A*- C) and 76% at 9-6 (A*- B).

With public examinations well and truly back in full flow following the pandemic, St Mary’s students rose to the challenge. Subject wise, students achieved particularly strong performances in disciplines including Additional Mathematics, Music and Languages.

2024 headline GCSE results from St Mary’s are as follows:

• 42% 9-8 grades (A* or A)
• 76% 9- 6 grades (A* - B)
• 89% 9-5 grades (A* - C)

Dr Paddy Wallace, Deputy Head (Academic), said: "As our Year 11 students celebrate their well-deserved success, we are excited to see many of them continue their journey at St Mary’s Sixth Form where this year’s students achieved the best A Level results since 2012, with exceptional accomplishments at A* and A* - A grades. We wish our Year 11s all the best as they move forward, confident that their time at St Mary’s has equipped them with the skills and resilience needed to achieve their goals."
