Young Mariners

On Tuesday 13 September it was the turn of Year 7 students to head out on an adventure to Herts Young Mariners Base. The girls really enjoyed the beautiful hot weather and being able to jump in the water as they built rafts and learned to paddle on kayaks. Here is a flavour of what the girls thought of the day: “I really enjoyed making new friends and meeting girls from other forms”, “I had fun during the raft building activity, especially seeing my friend falling off the raft in the water”, “I really liked working as a team”, and “I liked the kayaking the best because we had a lot of fun with everybody”. It was a great day for the new year group to get to know each other better in a fun-filled and different environment.
