Year 8 and 9 take on the National Enterprise Challenge
All Year 9 students took part in the National Enterprise Challenge, run by the Inspirational Learning Group and sponsored by Natwest. Our Circle of Friends had generously provided the funding for this event to take place at St Mary’s. The competition, the largest of its kind nationally, saw all girls compete against each other in groups of 6 to design a new flavour protein bar for the well-known brand 'Grenade'. The day culminated in all 13 groups presenting their ideas, including adverts, to a panel of guest judges made up of Mr Wilson, Mrs Hutchinson and Mrs Beer. The winning group consisted of Hana M. P., Kim T., Chloe T., Lily E., Yujia F. These girls won the opportunity to represent St Mary's at the national final at the ICC in Birmingham on 6 July.
