Year 7 Day of Reflection
Year 7 students spent a happy day out of lessons on Monday playing games and spending time in quiet reflection. The girls focused on the qualities which are important in friendship, such as listening to each other and, through sharing an object they had brought in to school which was special to them, began to explore the stories that lie behind our names.
The girls then found out more about the history of our school, including our foundress Mary Ward and the Congregation of Jesus. As part of the closing reflection the students wrote letters to their future Sixth Form selves about their thoughts on beginning a new stage in their lives and their hopes for the future. As in previous years, these letters will be stored safely and returned or delivered to them when they leave Upper Sixth.
