Year 6 students extract the most from Chemistry lessons
Year 6 students have been learning to work safely and sensibly in their Chemistry lessons and are visibly growing in confidence with their practical skills.
Using dissolution, filtration and evaporation, they have been extracting pure salt from rock salt. They all rose to the challenge, producing clean white crystals in the bottom of their crucibles.
Alex Cardwell, teacher of Chemistry was pleased with their achievements:
"The girls have been working brilliantly in Chemistry, showing excellent reasoning and analysis skills and reflecting on their own learning."
