Year 6 learn all about synonyms

This week, we have been thinking about the importance of rich vocabulary and the girls in Year 6 have been learning how to use synonyms. 

We have looked at how we can ‘rank’ different synonyms of adjectives according to their intensity.  The girls have created synonym spectrums for their class and homework.  They used their creative skills to think about how they can show their spectrums in different ways, showing how the words increase from least to most powerful.
