Year 6 learn about sight and vision
In our Science lessons, the girls in Year 6 have been learning about how we see things. We started by looking at how light rays travel from the source, hitting an object and then through the eye. Looking more closely at the anatomy of an eye, the girls were asked to investigate this further by creating models of the inside of an eye. One of our pupils, Charlotte, had the opportunity to dissect a pig’s eye and uploaded the video for her teacher to watch. It was amazing to see how creative the girls were, making models from plasticine, cake and objects from around the house. The level of detail on some of the cakes was ‘eye-opening’, but it was clear to see (excuse the puns) that the girls enjoyed making and hopefully eating them later.
