Year 5 and 6 Chamber Choir performs at Rotary Club Christmas Concert
Well done to the St Mary’s Junior School Year 5 and Year 6 Chamber Choir for another terrific performance in our community this Christmas season. On Monday 2 December, the girls performed at the annual Rotary Club of Cambridge Charity Christmas Concert along with 5 other local schools to help raise money for important charities. This was the fourth year that St Mary’s has taken part in this event and the girls enjoyed singing inside the beautiful Great St Mary’s Church to a packed audience. The event raised money for the Arthur Rank Hospice, The Cambridge Churches Homeless Project and Cambridge Aid. Mrs Dudley spoke to the trustee of Cambridge Churches Homeless Project, Chris Jenkin, about our gingerbread raffle at the Carol Service and how the proceeds will go directly to his charity project, which he was delighted about. The entire concert was recorded by Cambridge 105 radio and will be broadcast on Christmas Day, so please listen in, we were the first item.
