Year 3 learn survival skills in Woodland Explorers
As the last week of the half-term wound down, many classes took part in Woodland Explorers sessions, including Year 3. The girls were excited to take part in their first Woodland Explorers session in Prep, and were keen to learn new skills. Mr Taylor used his own backpacking experience and bushcraft knowledge to teach Year 3 the 4 basic outdoor survival needs (shelter, water, fire and food). To extend their learning of basic outdoor survival, the girls learned how to make a shelter from natural materials and spent much of their time building their own shelters. The girls had a lot of fun working together to build some fantastic outdoor structures!
