Year 3 explore the Zoology Museum
To support their Science topic on animals, Year 3 paid a visit to the Zoology Museum. They were amazed to be greeted by the skeleton of an enormous Fin whale on their arrival, and they explored galleries with examples of all the animal groups. Next they looked at the skeletons of large mammals such as the elephant. They also found the skeleton of the extinct giant sloth, which made them think about which animals are endangered today and how humans can help to prevent the possibility of extinction.
