Year 11 Drama students have spine-chilling trip to see 'The Woman in Black'
Year 11 Drama students had a spine-chilling trip to see 'The Woman in Black' at the Fortune Theatre on the eve of Halloween. It proved to be a most haunting, theatrical experience with many students burying their faces in scarves and coats for fear of encountering the dreaded Woman in Black. The performance has certainly opened students' minds as to what can be achieved on stage by two actors narrating and multi-roling a thrilling story with the use of simple props and superb sound and lighting design – all of which are cleverly executed to activate the audience's imagination!
Students will be using this experience to tackle the written examination component which requires them to be able to analyse and evaluate live theatre.
