Upper Sixth students’ Sixth Form Ball
On Friday 12 May our glamorously-dressed Upper Sixth students headed to Westminster College for their Sixth Form Ball – a very fitting venue for our city-centre school as the college is quintessentially Cambridge. The ball started with a drinks reception for students and parents, at which Headmistress, Ms Charlotte Avery wished the girls well for the future and reminded them ”once a St Mary’s girl, always a St Mary’s girl”. Drinks were followed by a delicious dinner (chicken, then cheesecake). Outgoing Head Girl, Aisling H.B. concluded her duties as Head Girl by giving her thanks to the year group – she managed to thank every member of the Upper Sixth by name. The night ended with music and dancing as the girls celebrated their time at St Mary’s Sixth Form, Cambridge – a memorable evening in which to celebrate our Upper Sixth students.
