Two students take the CISC poetry challenge
Over 150 students from Catholic Independent Schools’ Conference (CISC) schools entered the inaugural CISC poetry competition, including two of our own students, Year 7 student Juliette L. and Year 10 student Eiléanór C.
Participants were required to write a poem of any style, up to a maximum of 20 lines, in accordance with the theme ‘Resurrection’. Both Juliette and Eiléanór read their poems aloud in assembly before the end of the last half term for other girls and staff members to hear.
The quality of entries was very high and it was a difficult task to decide on the winning entries, but despite such tough competition Juliette was awarded runner-up in the Senior Category. Both poems were wonderful - very well done to both girls!
