Success at the Roy Burrell Awards
Year 11 student Emma W. was crowned ‘Runner Up: Sportswoman of the Year’ at the annual Cambridge District Secondary Schools Sports Association (CDSSSA) Roy Burrell Awards on Tuesday 6 March. Congratulations to Emma for receiving such an honourable prize for her commitment to football. She was pipped to the winning spot by an England U16 hockey player but was still delighted to have her years of commitment to the sport recognised in this way.
Further congratulations must go to six other Year 11 enthusiasts who were also awarded for excellence in their respective sports: Anya F. for netball; Daisy M. for equestrian; Beth W. and Bella H. for athletics; Lucy C. for cross country; and Rebecca G. for dance. Well done to all!
