Students visit the Imperial War Museum
On Tuesday 10 May a group of Year 9 students visited the Imperial War Museum in London, and on Tuesday 17 May the rest of the year group had their turn – the visits complementing the girls’ History studies on the Holocaust. The girls spent the day examining the Holocaust exhibition, which documents the narrative of Nazi policy, from the appointment of Hitler as Chancellor in 1933 through to the Final Solution of 1942 to 1945. The girls also participated in a thought-provoking workshop where they looked at some personal accounts of people who lived through the Holocaust. Students found the day to be stimulating and poignant and were very moved by the exhibition and stories they heard.
