Students find their inner calm by using baking as a mindful activity
To tie in with one of their Eco-Schools Award topics, Healthy Living, the Eco Committee organised the opportunity for students to do mindful baking.
The students enjoyed the opportunity to take some time out of their busy day to be present and in the moment, connecting with the process of making biscuits from scratch.
The aim of the session was also to encourage students to be grateful and mindful of the food we have. We also focused on using ingredients in reduced plastic packaging and the importance of avoiding waste, as well as composting food waste, such as egg shells.
As with all our Eco Thursdays, we had a range of students attend, and they had a great time being creative and working collaboratively.
