Students enjoy private tour of the Wren Library
On Saturday 2 February a group of boarders, academic scholars and members of the Time Travellers club were invited on a private tour of the Wren Library at Trinity College, Cambridge. The library was designed in 1676 by Christopher Wren and houses many notable rare books and manuscripts, including Isaac Newton's first edition copy of Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica, an eighth-century copy of the Epistles of St Paul and A. A. Milne's manuscript of Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner. The girls had a fantastic time and were taught many interesting tales of how some of the books found their way to the college.
