Students attend UNLOC student voice forum
On Tuesday 12 February three of our Year 12 students took part in the second summit day of the UNLOC student voice forum. The forum sees students from schools all around Cambridge meet to discuss common issues that they are facing in school and work together to come up with solutions. This year the issues included mental health, LGBT rights, life skills and politics.
The girls once again met up with the groups they had assigned themselves to in the first summit day and proceeded with discussions over common issues that their schools faced. Throughout the day they began to plan strategies that they could take back and implement in their schools. Unfortunately that is the last summit day the girls will be able to attend before the celebration day in July but they will continue to be in contact with their groups and work together to drive forward positive change in their school. Well done to Annabelle B., Maria K., Rosemary T., Emily T. and Sophie Y. for taking part in such a worthwhile and powerful cause.
