Students' artwork hits the local press!

St Mary’s A Level Art and Photography students took part in the annual Rotary Club Young Photographer Competition. Entrants were required to produce a portfolio of 3 photographs based on the theme “Beauty of Nature”. The Cambridge Rotary Club ran our regional heat with winning entries being submitted to a further national final. 
The winner, runners up and commended work will be printed in the Cambridge Independent. They will also be displayed in the Grand Arcade on Saturday, 16 March (outside John Lewis).  
 
Charlotte S.’s (Year 13) work was published in the regional press and Grace H.’s (Year 12) work was a ‘highly commended’ judges’ choice – and was published alongside Charlotte’s work in the Cambridge Independent. 
 
The judges were Keith Heppell (Cambridge Independent), Chris Fell (Cambridge Camera Club) and Owen Howell (Campkins). The standard was extremely high this year and they wish to pass on their thanks to our students for supplying such wonderful images.
