St Mary's volunteers bake treats for Arthur Rank Hospice
This term, volunteers at St Mary's, led by Mrs Landshoff, have been baking cakes for Arthur Rank Hospice, a charity that supports people in Cambridge living with an advanced serious illnesses or life-limiting conditions, and those requiring end-of-life care.
Two different groups of girls, some in the Sixth Form and two in Year 10, have given their time to help prepare a range of treats which Mrs Lansdhoff delivers to the hospice. The baked good are either frozen for a later date or eaten at teatime. So far, they have made lemon drizzle cake, shortbread biscuits, chocolate chip cookies and mince pies.
Well done to all the girls who are involved in this lovely gesture. Find out more about cooking at our Sixth Form here.
