St Mary’s student Rosa H. makes and sells bracelets to support Ukraine
Over Easter weekend, Year 5 student Rosa H. set up her own stall near her home making bracelets to sell for £1 to send directly to the charity Unicef to help protect children in the Ukraine. Moved by the war, Rosa decided on a fundraising plan to support those desperate for help, first setting up shop at 7am on Good Friday.
Rosa said:
“I got some embroidery threads from grandma and went from there. I’m now making as many bracelets as possible.”
She even placed an honesty jar on the stall for donations in exchange for bracelets when she was not present.
We’d like to congratulate Rosa on this initiative and wish her the best of luck with her fundraising going forward.
