St Mary’s showcases students’ creative artwork at end-of-year exhibition
St Mary’s celebrated its talented students with a private exhibition of over one thousand pieces of unique artwork created by pupils throughout the duration of their studies at the school.
The artwork was produced by Year 11 and 13 students as well as St Mary’s Art Scholars and was displayed throughout the entire Studio 47 Art Centre. Over 190 people attended the private viewing and were wowed by walls adorned with stunning artwork and photographic prints as well as ceramics and sculptures. This year’s exhibition also included work from our Key Stage 3 cohort, with pieces inspired by a variety of themes ranging from cityscapes to natural forms.
Su Conroy, Head of Art at St Mary’s, said:
“We have such talented, creative and intelligent pupils and this exhibition really reflected their artistic flair and ability. Students have worked studiously over the last two years, to develop their projects with a sense of individuality and imagination. We hope everyone enjoyed the exhibition. It was wonderful to see the results of everyone’s efforts – in such a striking display.”
