St Mary's School, Cambridge Circle

As the school moves towards the 120th anniversary of the founding of St Mary’s School, Cambridge we have decided that the time is right to relaunch the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Based on Mary Ward’s own circle of friends, the new Circle of Friends will allow parents, past and present, staff, past and present, and alumnae to be a part of the group which supports the school in its fundraising endeavours, and special school events such as the wonderful Christmas Fair and the Fun Run.

We have so many wonderful, committed alumnae that it is lovely to be able to invite them to become involved with things like welcoming new parents and girls to the school – clearly demonstrating the sentiment, ‘once a St Mary’s Girl, always a St Mary’s Girl’!

The first meeting of the Circle of Friends took place on the evening of Tuesday 10 May in the Learning Resources Centre, with 18 members in attendance. There was a great atmosphere amongst the attendees, and we look forward to sharing their plans for the coming weeks and months, which will support our mission to connect all members of our school community and provide each part with the right events and communications to flourish in the coming months and years.
