St Mary’s ranked in prestigious top UK independent schools list
St Mary’s School has been listed in the UK’s ‘Top 100 Independent Schools by A Levels’ for 2021, and also features highly in the ‘Top 30 Girls’ Boarding Schools by A Level’. The league tables are compiled annually by specialist private education consultancy, Education Advisers Ltd, to highlight the best performing independent schools in the UK based upon the percentage of top grades awarded to students.
The tables are separated into categories based on day or boarding, single sex or co-ed schools and also by curriculum. St Mary’s achieved a highly respectable 8th position in the Top 30 Girls’ Boarding Schools in the UK by A Levels and ranked 65th, alongside the Stephen Perse Foundation, in the UK Top 100 Independent Schools by A Levels in 2021.
The Education Advisers have produced league tables by exam results for UK independent schools for many years and they are highly regarded by parents, schools and education professionals. Schools listed in the prestigious tables are presented each year with certificates and the top schools each receive a crystal award.
Headmistress at St Mary’s School, Charlotte Avery, said:
“We are delighted to be positioned in the Education Advisers league tables. These rankings provide a very useful indication of a school’s academic standing, reflecting on one element of a school’s offer. St Mary’s has been empowering girls to aim high since 1898, not just in exams, but in all aspects of life. Firm believers that young people thrive and achieve more if they are happy, each of our students is valued, supported and encouraged to be the very best they can, whatever their hopes and aspirations.”
