St Mary's girls progress in national Intermediate Maths Challenge
Annually, our Senior School students compete in the national Intermediate Mathematical Challenge, run by the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT).
Competing against schools across the country, girls undertake an online test focused on problem-solving ability. Core mathematical skills including reasoning, precision of thought and fluency are tested and those students attaining the highest results then progress to the next stage.
Each year, the UKMT selects around 1500 high performers from across the UK to move up a stage and this year 18 St Mary's girls will progress in the competition, with particular congratulations going to Elizabeth G., who will go forward to the Hamilton Olympiad stage.
We look forward to reporting their successes in the next round of the competition!
