St Mary's footballer joins The Wasps Academy

Annabel W. in Year 9 has successfully trialled and been given a place into the Wasps Football Academy, which is part of Watford Ladies Football Club performance pathway for youth players.

She will be playing in the Junior Premier League next season, against teams within the London area. By by playing at this level, the hope is that Annabel will be scouted into a Women’s Super League team in the future.

This is a huge achievement: we are extremely proud of Annabel and wish her the very best at a time when women's football is really coming into its own.
