Sixth Form students top up leadership skills
On Saturday 4 November 10 of our Sixth Form boarders visited St Mary’s School in Shaftesbury to take part in a leadership workshop. The girls visited Shaftesbury with Miss Vicky Handley, Deputy Head of Sixth Form, and Mrs Helene Compain-Holt, Head of Boarding, on the Friday night, and visited the school’s chapel and stayed in the boarding house. The focus of the conference was nurturing leadership skills, providing a great opportunity for students to learn more about facing their fears, overcoming them and developing public speaking skills. The workshop aimed to boost students' confidence ahead of them moving on to Higher Education or out into the workplace.
