Sixth Form students complete Cambridge Half Marathon for Alzheimer's Research UK
On 17th October, Upper Sixth Form students Amy H. and Niamh B. took part in the Cambridge Half Marathon to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
We are pleased to report that the girls successfully completed the race, with Niamh's time coming in at just over 3 hours, and Amy finishig in 2 hours and 21 minutes. While Amy had been running regularly for some time, Niamh was new to the sport, only starting to run six months before the race. Amy was particularly proud of Niamh's journey.
Head Teacher Mrs Avery congratulates them:
'What a brilliant achievement for both of you.'
So far, they have raised over £900 for their charity. The girls are grateful for all the support from the St Mary’s community. You can still donate by following this link.
