Regional Netball Tournament

On Saturday 28 January our U14 and U16 netball teams competed at the Regional Schools Netball Tournament at Stanborough School in Welwyn Garden City. Each team was one of only two from the region (in their age group) playing to represent Cambridgeshire, which is a great accolade for our girls and our PE department. The teams played really well amidst fierce competition from across the whole of East Anglia. Both teams played six games each, with the U14 team achieving two wins, one draw, and suffering three losses, whilst the U16 team also achieved two wins, and suffered four losses. The teams were disappointed not to make it through to the next round – the National Schools Competition, taking place in March and the biggest schools competition in the netball calendar – but the girls will be back to competing in matches from next week in order to prepare for next year’s regional competition!
