Our Year 9 students reflect
This year’s Year 9 Day of Reflection focused on the theme of Justice. Discussions surrounded feelings of 'it's not fair' on a personal, local and global scale and what could be done to help redress issues of injustice. Sr Pat Robb CJ contributed a presentation including reflection on recently adopted global sustainable development goals, the decades she spent as a nurse-midwife running refugee camps and her more recent experiences assisting refugees in the UK. As part of the day, all students made a private undertaking of something they would do in the coming weeks and months to improve justice in their community or in the world. As always, the programme was punctuated by loud and interactive games and opportunities for stillness, prayer and reflection. The year group thoroughly enjoyed the day and came away with much to think about.
