Our festive friends
On Friday 2 December the Circle of Friends’ mulled wine and mince pie evening at the Junior School was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with parents and to start Advent together – set to the beautiful sound of the Year 5 and Year 6 Chamber Choir’s carols.
On Tuesday 6 December the Circle’s Christmas Fair was a resounding hit; it was great to see so many parents, and girls from the Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form. Both halls were packed with stalls run by family and friends of the school as well as small businesses from our local community. There were festive decorations (including feather wreaths), presents to be bought (from jewellery to pashminas), ‘tinsel tug’, games, a photo booth (always very popular) and, of course, the girls’ favourite: the chocolate fountain! Charlotte Avery drew the winning raffle tickets and we were delighted to see such happy winners – especially the winner of the Harry Potter World family ticket! The event raised approximately £4,000 for the Circle’s activities, projects and donations to the school, as well as the Christmas spirits of all in attendance!
In addition to hosting such successful Christmas events, we are all grateful to the Circle of Friends for putting up Christmas decorations throughout the school and for all of their efforts throughout the year to support the school. Thank you!
