Norwich trip
On 7 February our Lower Sixth Art students took a trip to Norwich to visit Norwich University of the Arts. Our girls used this opportunity to talk to some former St Mary’s School, Cambridge students who currently study there, but in the main the visit provided the girls with some further information and insight to inform decisions that are yet to be made about potential careers in art. The girls were amazed to find that the university offered a wide range of Art courses that they hadn’t previously considered, such as Game Design and Fashion Communication and Promotion, as well as Fine Art, Illustration and Photography. The girls thought the university had a great feel to it, with its passionate and driven atmosphere, which they sensed right from the beginning.
Due to the university being slightly smaller than some, the students are able to have their own personal study space, which is really important for the independent work that the university asks for. Overall our girls were delighted by every aspect of the university and came away with valuable knowledge about university life and their artistic Higher Education course options.
