Netball success across the school
The Junior School girls have been playing some outstanding netball already this academic year.
On Wednesday 11 October, 15 Junior School girls went to play against Barnardiston Hall in Suffolk. Despite the nerves and adrenaline that inevitably kicked in Miss Louise Powell and Mrs Fiona McWilliam were delighted with the performance of both teams. Both matches were close but after the full four quarters (something new for the U9 squad) the final results were: a win for the U9 team (4-2) and a win for the U10 team (2-1). These practice matches offer excellent opportunities to embed skills and to trial different positions. For the U10 team in particular, there was good possession of the ball, but perhaps the pressure on court meant that not all the passes were converted to goals; this is a skill in itself! Congratulations to all the team players, and the captains for this match, Olivia H. and Natasha T.
