Musical Maryam G.

Year 7 student Maryam G. received news of her musical success this term. Further to what must have been an impressive audition, Maryam has been offered a place in the NCO (National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain) Under 12 Orchestra for 2017 as a viola player. NCO Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Roger Clarkson, praised Maryam, saying: “You can be proud of the standard you have reached at your age.” Maryam will enjoy two residential courses as a member of the Orchestra, and will also be eligible to join a regional orchestra. Congratulations to Maryam, whose contribution to music here at school is excellent.
