Keep your eye out for our eggs-traordinary dinosaur egg hatching in Cambridge this Easter!
St Mary's is egg-static to present our eggs-traordinary, egg-ceptional, (ok, enough of the play on words, don't want to overdo the yolk!) dino egg which will be on exhibition in the Grand Arcade Cambridge as part of the Jurassic Dinosaur display from 1st April until 16th April.
Our egg completes the half-dozen being created by six schools who were invited to take part in "Jurassic Arcade", which will feature full-sized animatronic dinosaurs as well as an egg hunt and a competition to design a plushie, which will get made into a unique and personalized soft toy for the lucky winner!
The St Mary's egg belongs to a species unique to Cambridge - the Mazzasaurus - and was designed by Bianca L. in Year 11 and Ziren S., Gemma M., Charlotte C. and Elena B. in Y10.
The shell was formed and hand-painted by Ziren S., Elena B., Charlotte C., Gemma M., Madeleine H. in Year 10, Emme M., Bea H., Mercedes K., Temperance K., Emily R. in Year 9, Lydia G., Nikita N. in Year 8 and Nina M., Maya T., Charlotte A. and Maia B. in Year 7.
Please vote for our students' egg using the QR code below the sculpture. Mazzasaurus, with her beady eye peering out through a crack in her shell, looks forward to seeing you!
