Junior School speech and Drama showcase
On Tuesday 21 March the Junior School had its very first Speech and Drama showcase. The peripatetic Speech and Drama lessons offer the girls the opportunity to work towards the LAMDA graded examinations in verse and prose and acting. The showcase was a chance for the girls to show off what they have been working on. We enjoyed a selection of poetry, monologues and duologues from pupils from Reception through to Year 6.
Following the showcase, Alexandra, mother of Year 2 pupil Stella:
"That was a brilliant showcase! Stella's grandparents came along too and we all absolutely loved it! The children were all great. Thanks so much for all your hard work, Stella is thoroughly enjoying the lessons and it's giving her a lot more confidence. We're delighted that she's having this opportunity."
Some of the girls are taking their LAMDA exams at the beginning of April and we wish them the very best of luck - break a leg girls!
