Junior School athletics

An athletics squad made up of Year 4 and Year 5 girls represented the Junior School at the East Anglian Prep Schools' Southern Area Championships at the University of Cambridge athletics track this week. For some of the girls this was their first experience of a competitive meet, and all of the girls coped admirably with the experience of competition – many came away from their event having secured a personal best. Particular congratulations to Lucia C. who won the U11 800m, equalling the area record of 2:41.0, and to Maia G. and Lara M. who qualified for their sprint finals. All the girls were supportive of each other and a great credit to the school.
