Junior Maths Challenge
On Thursday 27 April 38 students from Year 7 and Year 8 took part in the Junior Maths Challenge, which involves answering 25 multiple choice questions in one hour under normal examination conditions in school. These papers were then submitted for marking and the results are in! Three of our students achieved gold, 10 silver, six bronze and two are progressing to the next stage. Anny C. in Year 7 and Emily T. in Year 8 both scored highly and so advance to the Junior Kangaroo qualifiers on Tuesday 13 June. Students can sit the Junior Kangaroo by invitation only and only a small percentage of the whole cohort taking the Junior Maths Challenge paper advance to this level – well done Anny and Emily.
