Inspirational Art trip for Year 9 students
On Tuesday 13 October the Art department took all Year 9 Art students on a trip to London. In the morning the group visited Tate Britain where students were given the opportunity to study and work from paintings that linked with their current project ‘Adorn, Embellish and Decorate’. In the afternoon some students took part in a photomontage activity influenced by the artist David Hockney in Trafalgar Square. The rest of the group visited The National Gallery where they studied the work of artists such as John Everett Millais and Joshua Reynolds.
It was an exciting and inspiring trip, Cate B. said: “Seeing all the different paintings with your friends made it really fun.”
