Golden girls reunite

On Saturday 10 September a group of Pastonians who attended the school during the 1960s came back to the school, along with some of their spouses, for a celebratory lunch. It was wonderful to be able to showcase the fantastic updates to the school, before the group enjoyed a splendid lunch prepared by our chef Christoph Ogur.

We heard many memories of the school as it was 50 years ago and many of the stories would certainly chime with our current students; from the experiences of growing up and getting to grips with the world beyond the school gates, to homework recollections, it was nice to see how in these ways so little has changed in 50 years. Our Head of Development, Miss Julie Hogg, also took the group on a tour of the school and the Science Hub and the newly upgraded languages classrooms certainly seemed to impress; one Pastonian reflected on how she was inspired into a lifelong love of languages during her own time at the school.
