Girls take part in Public Speaking Competition
A group of Year 10 girls took part in the English Speaking Union's Public Speaking Competition on 28 January. This regional heat was hosted by Bassingbourn Village College, and 4 schools took part in the competition. We entered 2 teams, and each team had 3 students - a chairperson, a speaker and a questioner. Although we didn't win the competition, the girls all performed extremely well and were highly praised by the ESU judges. Amelie A. received a special commendation for 'Outstanding Personality'. She delivered a powerful speech on the topic of obesity and NHS funding.
