Gap year ladies who lunch
On Tuesday this week our Sixth Form students attended their fortnightly ‘Ladies who lunch’ session, on this occasion the guest speakers were our very own gap year students from Australia, Sarah D’Arcy and Mimma Roach. Sarah and Mimma spoke to the Sixth Form students about the benefits and challenges they have experienced during their, almost complete, gap year.
The gap year students answered questions about where to start to find the right gap year experience, what preparations are involved (for example securing finances ahead of time), how to prepare for a gap year interview, and how to make the most of it – the resounding piece of advice Sarah and Mimma left with the students was that to take full advantage of the gap year experience the girls should travel, a lot! Thank you to Sarah and Mimma for the many ways in which you have supported the school during your time with us – we hope you will return to Australia with fond memories of our school.
