Fencing finesse for Holly T.

Congratulations to Year 8 student Holly T. on winning the bronze medal in the Cambridge Fencing Association, Women's 2016 Mega Foil Fencing Competition, on Sunday 24 January. Holly competed against fencers from across the county of all ages, so it is especially impressive that she, aged 13, was able to achieve third place in the competition. What’s more, Holly’s success comes on the back of a difficult Eastern region competition the day before, in which she missed out on qualification for the national finals by one place, coming fifth out of 18 – a big disappointment but one which clearly didn’t stop Holly from picking herself up and competing really well in an adult field a day later.
