Expedition to North Yorkshire
Seven students who have been working hard towards completing their Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award over the year have successfully completed the expedition aspect of the award. The Sixth Form students had an excellent time and crossed the North Yorkshire moors from west to east in four days – a distance of approximately 86km. Although they were not necessarily in the same friendship groups at the start of the trip, they certainly were the closest of friends by the end, ready to go to the ‘ends of the earth’ to help each other along.
The group was in good spirits when they reached the end of their journey, walking out along the pier at Whitby to the very end before celebrating with well-deserved fish and chips for dinner, before being driven back to Cambridge.
