ESNA netball teams make it through to regionals
At the end of September our U14 and U16 ESNA netball teams beat teams from The Perse, away, setting them up for their qualifying matches for the Cambridgeshire County Netball Tournament.
On Tuesday 11 October the U14 ESNA netball team won all of their preliminary qualifying matches, beating teams from the Stephen Perse, The Perse, King’s Ely and Kimbolton and qualified for the U14 Cambridgeshire County Netball Tournament on Saturday 12 November.
On Thursday 20 October it was the turn of our U16 ESNA netball girls to qualify for the County Tournament, winning the Cambridge Independent Schools Tournament, in matches against the Stephen Perse (3-3 draw), The Perse (15-4 win) and King's Ely (7-6 win).
This weekend the girls from both teams played in the Cambridgeshire County Netball Tournament, and both successfully qualified for the regional tournament later in the year. The U14 girls are now the county champions, having beaten all of the other teams. The U16 girls were runners up, winning all of their matches except losing to Longsands School and drawing with the Stephen Perse. It was a fantastic day of netball, despite the weather, and the girls all played exceptionally. Now we are looking forward to the regional tournament.
