District Cross Country

Three teams from our school competed at the District Cross Country Championship at Netherhall School on Tuesday 6 December, and the overall results were the best that we have ever achieved at these championships! Well done to all of the girls who ran, and especially to all those who attend the running club and keep pushing the bar higher and higher – the girls have all received certificates. 

The Minor Girls team finished in 11th place, the Junior team ran exceptionally well to finish in third place, and the Intermediate team had a very strong performance indeed, and placed second overall. Special congratulations go to the following girls who, individually, finished in the top 14 positions in their races and have qualified to represent our district in the County Cross Country Championships, which will take place in January: Elizabeth A.(Year 7); Matilda T.(Year 9); Arabella H. and Lucy C. (both Year 10); and Jessica O. (Year 11).
